Lorain Community Stories, a project of the Lorain Historical Society, collects and shares three- to five-minute audio stories and related photographs online. Focusing on themes of people, diversity, art, industry, growth, and recreation, it creates a space for all ages to learn about and contribute to Lorain’s rich history through personal narratives. Using the OurStoryBridge methodology, the project ensures stories are easily accessible and shareable.

Our Mission: Lorain Historical Society engages members of the community and our visitors in our shared and diverse history through preservation, education, collaborations, and exciting programming for all ages, so that we learn from the past, develop civic pride, and transform the future.
